There's a bright golden haze on the meadow

Too many times we forget about blogging on days when we are having a good time, or when "everything's going our way." We blog when the plumbing breaks in the spare bedroom, or when we find ourselves challenged beyond belief. I am breaking from that tradition today. I am going to tell you all about my fantastically fabulous day, because if I can't gloat here, where can I go?
Start of day, wake up at 6:30. Not because my alarm went off, not because the room was too hot or too cold, not because someone splashed me with cold water, and not because I needed to be anywhere. I woke up at 6:30 because I had enough sleep and my body was ready to start my day. Did I get anything accomplished in this time? Hell No! But I was able to enjoy a quiet morning to myself with birds flying outside my window and the sun slowly overheating the earth.
I didn't really get moving until say 7:30 or so, as I had to yet get ready for work. But the shower was lovely. There were no drastic hot or cold spikes as are often the case in my apartment. And my hair had that just cleaned with a new shampoo feeling after only one washing. I didn't even need my conditioner this morning. I had time to shave, which I have not for several days. And I got back to my old toothpaste, so hopefully my breath will be better than it has been as of late.
I rode my bike to work, and as a result was a little late, but the breeze whipping over my body as I flew down the hill from my house was something magical. At work we had a meeting about the future of the project I work for. These are generally not happy events. Today we talked about how we were going to be able to do more work than previously though, the script that I (along with others) have been working on got the "this is right on track" from the boss, and I get to work full time as long as I have things to do! YEAH!
This day calls for a lesson. I apologize to Jim and Linus for so blatantly ripping off their gimmick, but it is necessary. Today's lesson - Take time to notice the small things, for some (and maybe even you) they can make all the difference in the world!
